Yorkshire Wolds Challenge 2018

In July, seven masons who are members of Masonic Lodges that meet at Mirfield Masonic Hall took on the Yorkshire Wolds Challenge to raise money for Rydale Special Families.

The 144 mile ride takes place over two days with a night camp after the first day.

The ride takes place each year and is a loop, which starts and finishes at Norton College near Malton.  The direction is changed each year and this year we went clockwise which meant all the hills on the second day were right at the end of the ride.  Which added to the fun.

It was a good challenge and the 250 plus riders that took part, all enjoyed the camaraderie at the camp, which had food, a bar and live music.

All the Mirfield riders finished and look forward to taking up other challenges for charity in future.

Update 18/08/2018:  The organisers have announced that this years total raised was £37,272, a record in the 8th year of this event.  Mirfield 1102 are very proud to have been involved in this impressive total.
